HOME
Handmade one-of-a-kind unique young children’s clothes from Pickle and Dot
SUSTAINABLE
Lovely garments made from rescued fabrics, both Vintage and contemporary, limiting landfill
HIGHLY ORIGINAL
No garment repeated - one-of-a-kind - no manufacturing
HANDCRAFTED
Everything made by myself, a liftime textile enthusiast in my workroom in the Cotswolds
There is truly only one of each of these garments
The fabrics are sourced from markes, fabric sales, charity shops and online; a long standing obsession of mine throughout my life.
The clothes are not meant to be fashionable, or follow a trend; just one-off pieces which I have enjoyed making for the children in the lives of parents, grandparents, friends and families; all of those people who want originality, style, quality, something different and unique.
And in doing this I aim to help reduce waste, prevent in a small way the use of landfill, and at the same time encourage others to consider doing the same. In our culture of cheap and ‘throw-away’ we have ceased to value these fabrics, the experience of process and ‘joy of making’ good quality, long lasting items including garments for ourselves, families, etc.
We will make a donation of £1 to Winston’s Wish for every garment sold
Winston’s Wish is a charity which gives hope to children and young people, and ensures every child can get the help they need when someone important or close to them has died
