Handmade one-of-a-kind unique young children’s clothes from Pickle and Dot
SUSTAINABLE
Lovely garments made from rescued fabrics, both Vintage and contemporary, limiting landfill
HIGHLY ORIGINAL
No garment repeated - one-of-a-kind - no manufacturing
HANDCRAFTED
Everything made by myself, a liftime textile enthusiast in my workroom here in the Cotswolds
There is truly only one of each of these garments
The clothes are not meant to be fashionable, or follow a trend; just one-off pieces which I have enjoyed making for the children in the lives of parents, grandparents, friends and families; all of those people who want originality, style, quality, something different and unique.
And in doing this I aim to help reduce waste, prevent in a small way the use of landfill, and at the same time encourage others to consider doing the same. In our culture of cheap and ‘throw-away’ we have ceased to value these fabrics, the experience of process and ‘joy of making’ good quality, long lasting items including garments for ourselves, families, etc.
Here is a glimpse of some of the rescued fabrics I have used or are still in stock, both vintage and contemporary - Take a look at ‘My Inspiration’ page to see the variety of fabrics and other items whic inspire me
We will make a donation of £1 to Winston’s Wish for every garment sold
Winston’s Wish is a charity which gives hope to children and young people, and ensures every child can get the help they need when someone important or close to them has died
